INASEA STAFF TRAINING
for Arctic and Antarctic cruise ship expeditions

Die Bundesagentur für Arbeit fördert den Kurs mit der Übernahme der Kursgebühren über den sogenannten Bildungsgutschein.

The INASEA institute and the staff-training course got the official accreditation of the German authorities (ISO 9001:2009 and AZWV). That means that participants living in Germany can get sponsorship for the training’s costs, irrespectively if the person is a freelancer, employee or jobless in workaday life.

The training enables the participants to work on a cruise ship and to implement the relevant Arctic and Antarctic legal requirements.

The training prepares new lecturers, new expedition leaders, and zodiac drivers to work environmental and passenger friendly on an adventure cruise ship in Antarctic and Arctic areas.

The course provides experienced lecturers and experienced expedition leaders with an update on latest ATCM measures, resolutions and decisions, and Arctic rules.

The training offers basics in Zodiac driving by practical exercises and gives tools for bad weather conditions.

The training took place the first time in 2008.
Detailed Course Information

Module one

for inexperienced lecturers
and other interested parties

basics in navigation, Antarctic-Treaty-System and its documents, relevant Arctic matters, passenger association, shore party tasks, site guidelines, landing procedures, ecology of the Antarctic and Arctic environment and threats to it, recent tourism development
Module two

for expedition leaders and other interested parties

specific landing procedures, examples for adjusted landing procedures, aims and content of CCAMLR, CCAS, historic sites and guidelines
Module three

for experienced and inexperienced Expedition Leaders and other interested parties

update on latest ATCM measures, decisions, resolutions, and additional documents, and Arctic rules
pre-season refreshment;
Training for IAATO online assessment for field staff

Module four

for new drivers and all interested parties

Zodiac driving introduction, theoretical and practical:
Zodiac basic training, tools for bad weather conditions, man-over-board manoeuvre

The attendees will receive a certification document to confirm their skills.
Costs

For registrations and payments until/by July 2011 reduced course fees:

Module 1-3: 494 €  + 19% V. A. T.
including accommodation in double bedroom 2 nights with breakfast, DB train station pick-up service, guided Wadden Sea tour.

Module 4, Zodiac practice (day 1-3): 135 €    +19 % V.A.T.

For registrations and payments after 10.07.2011: additionally 50 € will be charged.

Latest registration will be possible until 01.08.2012.
After receipt of your registration we will send you an invoice. Please note that the registration is valid - and will be confirmed by us - only after receipt of the full payment.

We recommend registering as soon as possible, because the number of participants is limited.
